ASA Brooklyn Avengers Women's Basketball Team Cruises to Victory vs Five Towns College

Dix Hills, NY – The ASA Brooklyn Avengers women's basketball team travelled to Long Island, New York to play against 4-year college: Five Towns College.

In the game, the Avengers came out firing on all cylinders on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor and won the game 87-18.  Four Avengers scored in double digits, with #13 Arianna Johnson as the leading scorer with 26 points.  #2 Shanese Miller and #15 Aida Barry both had double-doubles (16 pts/15 rebounds and 10 pts/10 rebounds respectively).  #3 Akilah Stewart also added in 17 points.  The ball movement of the Avengers was also evident as they had 20 assists off 36 field goals.

"Offensively we were able to put up 87 points," said ASA Brooklyn Avengers women's basketball head coach Anthony Dulin.  "We definitely scored well.  We had the advantage athletically and we took advantage.  Defensively, we did a great job communicating, rotating, and preventing easy transition basket."

"Right now our focus is on the upcoming games in Monroe this weekend," said Coach Dulin.  "We have two tough games coming up and it'll be a good test for our team."

The ASA Brooklyn Avengers women's basketball team plays against CCBC Essex and Nassau CC in New Rochelle on November 23rd 2019 and November 24th 2019.
