ASA Grads Compete in World Cup Qualifier for Home Country

St. Louis, MO-----Tonight's Men's Soccer World Cup Qualifier featuring the USA vs Saint Vincent's (Caribbean) will have two (Shaka Bowens '12, Millon Prescott '10) ASA College graduates playing for the St. Vincent's. 

Millon Prescott graduated 2010 Magna Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA and was a two-time NJCAA Region XV First Team All-Region award winner.   He also garnered NJCAA (national) Academic Awards.   Millon was recruited by former ASA Head Coach Jon Panella.

Shaka Bowens graduated ASA C ollege Summa Cum Laude with a 3.7 GPA and was a two time NJCAA Region XV First Team All-Region selection as well.  Bowens continued onto Manhattanville College enjoyed a successful soccer career while completing his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.  After college he played with the Seattle Sounder reserve team for a season.

 Shaka joined the ASA College Soccer staff as a volunteer this season and has made a positive contribution right away.  Head Coach Mike Grudge remarked, "Shaka is very dedicated to soccer and plans to pursue his coaching licenses.  He knows what it takes to compete at this level and also understands the honor of representing his country.  We're all very proud of Shaka and Millon and look forward to tonight's matchup."
