West Windsor, NJ----For the second time in only three years, the ASA College men's soccer team has won the Northeast District title.  Having already earned a bid to the NJCAA Division I National Championships by defeating host and #2 nationally ranked, Mercer County CC, in yesterday's semifinal match, the Avengers added more hardware to their postseason run after today's 3-0 win over Massasoit CC.  ASA will be one of twelve teams competing in the NJCAAs from November 16-21 in Martinsville, VA.  NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS WEBSITE .

Just after hitting the crossbar, feshman Gabriel Viana scored the winning the goal in the 24th minute of the match.

Controlling the tempo for the rest of the half, the Avengers led 1-0 going into the break.

The Avengers wouldn't waste much time to add to their lead, scoring in the 47th minute.  Ilboudo Saufyane would find Cheick Karembega streaking down the right-hand side of the field for the goal.

Saufyane would put the game completely out of reach for Massaoit, walking a goal in himself with just over a minute to play in the match.

The Avengers started their "Cinderella" run to the Nationals knocking off former #2 nationally ranked, Monroe College, in the Region XV-DI championship match.  This weekend solidified their prominence nationally.
