Men's Soccer Falls to Bryant & Stratton in Regular Season Finale, 2-0

The ASA College men's soccer team dropped their fourth match in a row this afternoon to USCAA #2 nationally ranked and former NJCAA power, Bryant & Stratton (NY), 0-2.  ASA dips below .500 on the season overall with a 5-6-2 record.  Bryant & Stratton improves to 11-1 with the victory.  With today rounding up their regular season, the Avengers will host the Region XV-Division play-in game against Globe on Wednesday, October 28th.  Opening kick is scheduled for noon at Old Boys High Field in Brooklyn, NY.

After scoreless and physical first half, B&S would strike in the 61st minute on an assisted free kick following an ASA hand ball infraction.

Only a minute later, B&S would score again.  This time it would come off of a deflection caused by sophomore ASA goalie Ziggy Camejo who came in for relief for starting goalie Gerard Amigon.

The Avengers had a solid opportunity just before halftime to jump out on top first in the match.  However, sophomore forward, Suleiman Iya's breakaway shot was saved.

B&S outshot the Avengers 10-6.

Iya led the Avengers off of the bench with two shots.
