ASA Brooklyn Avengers Men's Basketball Team Scores 104 in Win Over Prestige Prep

Brooklyn, NY – The ASA Brooklyn Avengers men's basketball team played a home game against Prestige Prep on November 26th 2019.

In the opening minutes of the first half, the Avengers quickly jumped to a 7-point lead.  However, the 7-point lead was quickly evaporated due to a lack of defense from the Avengers.  Both teams shot the ball well and the first half ended 42-38.  In the start of the second half, the Avengers again opened to a 8-point lead from a pair of threes and a dunk.  Prestige went on a run to tie up the game and the Avengers responded with three dunks from #12 Harvin Mosquera and back-to-back steals from #2 Jahmier Pugh to give the team a 14-point lead.  With the starters pulled and the bench bought back in, the lead again evaporated.  The starters were bought back in with over 2:30 left in the second half and the Avengers won the game 104-101.

In the game, five Avengers scored in double figures, with the leading scorer being #13 Brayan de la Cruz with 24 points.

The ASA Brooklyn Avengers men's basketball team next travels to New Rochelle, NY to play the Monroe Classic on December 7th and 8th.
