Track and Field Dominates Field At Molloy College Invitational

LONG ISLAND, NY --- ASA Track and Field took Long Island's Saint Anthony's High School by storm at Friday's Molloy College Invitational, with several standout performances from the Men's and Women's teams over a diverse local field of tri-state NCAA and NJCAA colleges.

ASA captured wins in the Women's 60 Meters, Women's 4x200 Meters and Men's 60 Meter Hurdles while finishing in the Top 5 or Top 10 in ten other events. Freshman Maurice Broadwater also qualified for NJCAA Nationals, increasing the ASA contingent scheduled to compete to 12.

Freshman Tanasia Linton led a 4-out-of-5 finish in the Women's 60 Meters with a winning time of 7.88; the Women's 4x200 Meters team of freshmen Amaria McMiller, Britney Thomas, Ashley Haynes and Katiria Almenas won easily with a time of 1:44.23, nearly six seconds faster than second-place Molloy; sophomore Ramoye Simon paced the 60 Meter Hurdles field with a run of 8.22; and Broadwater's third-place finish in the 800 (1.57.37) was good enough to punch his ticket to Nationals.
