Skillman, NY---Freshman NJCAA ITA and NJCAA First Team All-American (singles and doubles) All-American, Macarena Olivares, was named a Collegiate All-Star by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.  She is the only NJCAA selection and only one of two junior college student-athletes to receive the honor.

The native of Chile had a special rookie season for the Lady Avengers.  She would help them to back-to-back team NJCAA Division I National Championships.  Individually, Olivares would win National Championships in both flight #1 singles and #1 doubles, theoretically making her the best tennis player in the entire NJCAA.

In singles she would finish the season with a 13-3 overall record with her only three losses coming during the regular season against a four-year NCAA Division I school and two NCAA Division II powerhouses ranked in the top-ten nationally.

Earlier this month she was named an ITA Junior College All-Americans along with fellow Lady Avenger, Megane Bianco.
