  • Macarena Olivares Receives Elite Honor from ITA

    Freshman NJCAA ITA and NJCAA First Team All-American (singles and doubles) All-American, Macarena Olivares, was named a Collegiate All-Star by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. She is the only NJCAA selection and only one of two junior college student-athletes to receive the honor.
  • Men's and Women's Tennis National Champs Named ITA All-Americans

    Skillman, NJ---Recently coming off of back-to-back NJCAA Division I National Championships on both the men's and women's side, the ASA tennis program had two members of each team named Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Junior College All-Americans this afternoon. Three of the four Avengers honored earned All-American status in both singles and doubles play.

    NJCAA DIVISION I NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS Tuscon, AZ----The defending National Junior College Athletic Association Division I ASA College (Brooklyn, NY) Women’s Tennis team repeated as team National Champions this afternoon. In addition, the Lady Avengers made the NJCAA women’s tennis record books by becoming the first team to sweep all singles and doubles championships since 1991.

    The ASA College women's tennis team had another strong day at the NJCAA Division I National Championships today, winning again convincingly at every flight in both singles (flights 1-6) and doubles (1-3).     The NJCAA Division I defending national champion ASA College women's tennis team made a big statement today in their first day in action at this year's National Championships. After earning byes (all #1 seeds) for the first round in all six flights in singles and all three flights in doubles, the Lady Avengers cruised through all nine second round matches, only losing one game all day.

    The defending national champion ASA College women's tennis team earned byes in every flight in both singles and doubles to start the NJCAA Division I National Championships. ASA will not have a match until Monday's Second Round matches.
  • #1 Women's Tennis Shuts Out Arcadia to End Regular Season

    The ASA College women's tennis closed the regular season this evening in dominating fashion, defeating NCAA Division III Arcadia University 9-0 and giving up one game the entire team match. ASA improves to 12-3 with the team victory. The Lady Avengers will have a week to prepare to defend their NJCAA Division I title at the NJCAA Division I National Championships (May 2-8) in Tuscon, AZ.

    The ASA College women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory this afternoon against #26 NCAA Division II Concordia College at the US National Tennis Center. ASA improves to 11-3 with the team victory. The Lady Avengers will look to close out their regular season on Friday, 4/24, at NCAA Division III Arcadia University in Glenside, PA.

    The ASA College women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 team victory against NCAA Division I Queens College this morning. ASA improves to 10-3 with the win. ASA will be back on the court on Tuesday, April 21st, against Concordia College at the US National Tennis Center at 3:00 PM.

    The #1 nationally ranked women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 team victory this afternoon in the final match of the first annual JUCO Tennis Palooza hosted by ASA College at the US National Tennis Center. ASA improved to 9-3 as a team with the win.

    The ASA College women's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 victory this afternoon over St. Peter's University. ASA improves to 7-2 overall as a team with the NCAA Division I victory. The Lady Avengers will be back on the court on Tuesday, April 7th, to host St. John's University with the men's team at the US National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. Matches are slated to begin at 1:00 PM.

    The ASA women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win this afternoon against NCAA Division II member, Post University (CT), this afternoon. ASA improves to 6-2 overall as a squad with their only two losses coming to four-year universities. The Lady Avengers will be back on their home court at the US National Tennis Center on April 1st to host St. Peter's College. Doubles matches will begin at 3:00 PM.

    Brooklyn, NY---In yesterday's Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) junior college national rankings release, the ASA College men's and women's team continue to sit in the top spot. The Avengers will meet national rival and #2 Tyler JC this afternoon in men's and women's team matches.

    The ASA College #1 ITA nationally ranked women's tennis team made a big statement this afternoon by winning every match played today against #2 Tyler JC. ASA will complete their trip tomorrow, March 21st, against host Collin CC.

    The ASA College women's tennis team improved to 3-0 today, defeating the University of Buffalo 4-3. ASA will be back on the court on Sunday, February 22nd, to host Post University. Matches start at 1;00 PM at the US Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. All three of ASA's wins so far have come against NCAA Division I schools.

    The ASA College women's tennis team improved to 2-0 this evening by defeating Bryant University 6-1 in a team dual match. Both of ASA's wins are against NCAA Division I schools. The Avengers will be at the University of Buffalo on Friday, February 20th. They will faceoff against ASA graduate and NJCAA National Champion, Dayana Agasieva, and the Bulls at 1:00 PM.

    The ASA women's tennis team opened the 2015 season with a 4-3 win over NCAA Division I Duquesne University this afternoon. ASA is the #1 ranked NJCAA Division I team in the ITA national poll.
