Avengers Tennis Defeats Fighting Owls In Dual Match

QUEENS, NY --- Playing at the historic USTA National Tennis Center for the first time this season, ASA Tennis turned in an impressive dual match victory this afternoon over visiting Harford Community College.

The Avengers (7-1) won their match by the score of 8-1, while the Lady Avengers (6-3) pitched another shutout, 7-0.

ASA was led on the men's side by sophomores Kwame Griffith (Brooklyn, NY) and Willie Wimberly (Queens, NY). Both players won their singles matches by recording a shutout in their final set, as well winning their respective doubles matches.

The Lady Avengers took advantage of their first game action in a month by completing a dominating "perfect game" - shutting out every singles & doubles opponent for the entire match.
