ASA Avengers Women's Soccer Team Travels to Maryland to Play Against Montgomery College

Montgomery, Maryland – The ASA Avengers women's soccer team travelled to Maryland to play against the Montgomery College on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

The women's soccer team departed Brooklyn at 7:30 am in the morning and the travel was over five hours long.  "It's not an easy trip physically to get down there and come right out to play," said women's soccer head coach Jon Panella.  "I really do appreciate the girl's attitude and effort dealing with the long trip.  The travel probably played a part in Montgomery College scoring two goals early in the game."

However, after that the women's soccer team picked up their play.  On offense – "We created some good opportunities, but we just needed to finish our chances better," said Panella.  "Defense played extremely well, we just need to do a better job of keeping them in front of us, rather than having them get out wide behind us."

The ASA Avengers women's soccer team plays next plays their own home game of the season against region rivals Monroe College on Friday, September 28th, 2018.
