BROOKLYN, NY --- ASA College Athletics has recently announced the addition of Women's Soccer to its list of NJCAA men's and women's programs. Brett Polow, who served as an assistant on the Avengers Men's Soccer staff in 2012-13, has been named the program's first Head Coach.
"We are excited to add Women's Soccer here at ASA College," said Athletic Director Kenney Wilcox. "My vision for the program is that, through hard work and dedication, we will rise to national prominence in short order, as all of our other programs have been able to do."
When asked about Coach Polow, Wilcox added, "Brett has had great success building a program from scratch on the Division I level and making them competitive quickly. We will fully support him and the program so that we achieve the same results."
Women's Soccer will be the fourth NJCAA program added at ASA since 2011-12, following Men's Track & Field, Women's Track & Field and Men's Lacrosse. ASA College also sponsors teams in Men's Soccer, Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Tennis and Baseball.
Every athletic program at ASA has produced either one Region Championship, Nationals representative, All-Conference/All-Region selection, NJCAA All-American and/or NJCAA Academic All-American. Also, every program has sent multiple student-athletes on to top four-year colleges & universities to continue their academic and athletic careers.
