Over the weekend, the undefeated 9-0 ASA women's basketball team traveled to Tennessee to play in the Roane State Classic tournament. The Avengers defeated Walters State CC and Roane State CC to continue their unbeaten streak.

During their trip, the Lady Avengers sat in the stands and watched their former teammate Cheridene Green play against the #2 ranked Texas Longhorns. The #11 ranked Tennessee Volunteers defeated the Longhorns 82-75, advancing to 10-0 on the season.

Green was a two-time NJCAA All-American at ASA in 2014-16.  While Green attended ASA the Avengers held a 38-9 record.  She averaged 20.5 points, 16.5 rebounds, 3.9 blocks and 2.5 steals per game in her sophomore season at ASA. Being born in London, England she was the Lady Volunteers first-ever international player.
