Seven Lady Avengers Have Earned Their Way to Four-Year Institutions

Student athletes across the collegiate landscape yearn to play at the highest levels of competition. And for those attending ASA College, it's no different.

The women's basketball team, steered by head coach Thomas Davis, annually sees its graduating students continue their studies and athletics at some of the more top-notch programs in the country.

The outgoing sophomores on the 2015-16 Lady Avengers squad benefited greatly from a successful campaign, as seven players will further their collegiate careers at four-year establishments.

Led by its trio of All-Americans Stephanie Davis, Cheridene Green, and Diandra Darosa, the Lady Avengers  advanced to the national tournament.

Davis will take her talents to Texas Southern, Green, who is from London, England, signed with the University of Tennessee, and Darosa is heading to Virginia Tech University.

Rounding out the other signees are Madrid Spain's Mary Cuevas, who's heading to Towson University in Maryland, Kianna Mayers, who signed with Loyola University of Chicago, Shakila Small, who's going to Oklahoma State University, and Taylor Briggs, who earned her way to St. Leo University in Florida.
