Revell To Be Honored By WNBA’s New York Liberty

BROOKLYN , NY --- Head Women's Basketball Coach Adia Revell will be honored by the New York Liberty during the team's home contest against the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday, August 10th at 1:00 PM.

Coach Revell is being recognized in appreciation for both her accomplishments as the leader of the Lady Avengers program and her continuous community service endeavors & achievements.

Revell has compiled a 75-30 record over four National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) seasons as ASA's first & only Women's Basketball head coach since the inception of the Athletics Department in 2008.

In 2012-13, she led the 25-4 Lady Avengers to their third consecutive Region XV Division championship, first District C title, first appearance in the NJCAA National Poll (peaking at No. 19) and first victory in the Division I National Championship tournament, a 74-68 upset of No. 14 Western Nebraska Community College as a No. 19 seed.

Coach Revell, a native of Brooklyn, has spent time volunteering in the community as a basketball coach, mentor & public speaker, working with several youth organizations including the Rose Classic, Exodus NYC, Hope4Girls Nigeria, UWantGame, and New Heights NYC, among others.
