Bucknor Powers ASA To First Ever Florida Sweep at Palm Beach State Classic

WEST PALM BEACH, FL --- Sophomore forward Sashana Bucknor produced another spectacular performance, exploding for a game-high 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead ASA Women's Basketball over Clinton Junior College, 63-40, in the Palm Beach State Classic.

Bucknor shot 10-for-13 from the field (2-for-3 3PT), and also notched two steals, two blocks and an assist. The double-double she earned was her team-leading fifth of the season.

With the win, ASA (8-1) recorded its first undefeated road trip to the Sunshine State in three attempts (2-2 in 2010, 2-1 in 2011).

The Lady Avengers did an excellent job in forcing a shorthanded Clinton (4-6) squad into turnovers. ASA created 21 CJC turnovers and turned them into 23 points.

Freshman guard Kelcey Castro also chipped in with 14 points, including four three-pointers.
