Flushing, NY---The ASA College men's and women's tennis teams lent a helping hand this afternoon at a tennis clinic for the Queens Health Initiative held today at the US Tennis Center.  The Avengers teamed up with St. John's University Tennis to teach 850 3rd-5th graders the game of tennis and how it can be a fun way to stay active and healthy.  The all-day event was capped off by a healthy snack to show children the importance of eating right.

"Today was a great opportunity for our program to give back to the youth of New York City using a tool we are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about.  Our teams and the kids had a great time, and it was a awesome learning experience for everyone.  We are looking forward to other opportunities similar today's."

The ASA College men's and women's tennis teams are the reigning #2 ranked teams in the NJCAA.  The teams will be finishing up their Fall schedule in a week and will be in training until their official seasons begin in late Winter.
