Men's Lacrosse 2019 Season Preview:
The ASA College Brooklyn Avengers restarts their men's lacrosse program after a two-year hiatus. The program has been to 5 consecutive Region XV semifinals and has produced three players that went on to play professionally. The 2019 season will be led by first-year ASA Brooklyn Avengers head coach, Christopher Tempone. He previously served as the assistant coach for the men's lacrosse program back in 2013 and 2014 .
Quotable from the Coach:
On the season: "We're restarting our Men's Lacrosse program as a club team in our first season back while the team prepares to build a foundation to compete for the 2019-2020 season in Region XV."
On the coaching staff: "Coach Kevin Kaffl will be the Defensive and Goalie coach and Coach Frank Kirk will the Offensive and Box coach. Kevin has over 20 years of coaching and playing experience as his resume includes Chaminade while Frank Kirk played at Stevenson College in Maryland and Division Avenue High School in Levittown, Long Island."
On the team: "For our first season back, we have set up a competitive schedule as the team is led by Brandon Szabo(British Columbia) on Attack, Rob Herring( East Laney H.S.) facing off and Joshua Maye(Curtis H.S.) on Defense. We will play an up-tempo style of Offense with multiple schemes on Defense."
On the future of the program: "The future looks bright as we have 13 players committed already for our 2019 Fall Trimester!
