Brooklyn, NY---Former ASA College lacrosse standout is now a professional lacrosse player after being drafted by the Buffalo Bandits in the 1st Rd. (9th overall) of the National Lacrosse League Entry Draft.

The British Columbia native was a member of ASA's first ever lacrosse program back in 2012.  While at ASA, Goodwin was a two-time NJCAA All-American.  In two seasons with the Avengers, Goodwin contributed 84 goals and 91 assists, helping ASA to a Region XV championship appearance as a sophomore.  

After ASA, Goodwin would earn a scholarship to NCAA Divsion II, Adelphi University.  This past Spring, the physical midfielder finished as the Panthers' third leading scorer on a squad that earned regular season and post-season conference championships and a trip to the Division II Final Four.  

The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is North America's professional indoor lacrosse league featuring the best players in the world competing for the sport's most coveted prize, the Champion's Cup. Founded in 1986. The 2014 NLL regular season, which marks the league's 28th year, opens on Saturday, Dec. 28. The league is comprised of nine franchises across the U.S. and Canada: Buffalo Bandits, Calgary Roughnecks, Colorado Mammoth, Edmonton Rush, Minnesota Swarm, Philadelphia Wings, Rochester Knighthawks, Toronto Rock and Vancouver Stealth. 

The Bandits are scheduled to open the 2015 season on January 2 in Uncasville, Connecticut against the New England Black Wolves at 7:00 pm at Mohegan Sun.
