ASA Avengers Men's Basketball Team Overcomes Early Deficit to Go Up 4-0 in Season

West Point, NY – The ASA Avengers men's basketball team travels to West Point to play against the Army JV team.

The Avengers continue their winning streak by beating Army JV at West Point.  The Avengers faced a tough opponent in Army JV as they were a very disciplined and great shooting team.  The Avengers was able to use their athleticism and quickness to overcome an early deficit and prevail.  Leading the Avengers in points was Miguel Simon who had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds while both Cesar Ramirez and Arsheen Jones had 16 apiece.  

The Avengers had an early deficit in the first half, but picked up the defensive intensity in the second half.  "We were able to make some key stops to solidify the win," said men's basketball head coach Devonne Martinez.

The Avengers is currently 4-0 to start the season and the next game will be at home in Achievement First High School, Brooklyn, NY against Prestige Prep.
