Avengers Cruise to 77-61 Victory Over Westchester
Valhalla, NY---- ASA was untested this evening at Westchester CC in their final road game of the 2011-12 regular season. The Avengers cruised to a 77-61 victory helping the team improve to an overall record of 17-11 and 4-1 in Region XV-Division I play.
ASA began their run with a little over six minutes to play in the first half and never looked back after going into a halftime with the 40-28 lead. The Avengers would completely blow the game wide open with 6:47 to play ballooning their lead to 26 after a made three-pointer by freshman guard Rysheen Dorn who finished with 14 points including 2-3 from behind the arc.
Sophomore guard Sa'Quan Davis led all scorers with 21 points. He also dished out five assists. Freshman forward Mike McLeod also reached double-figures in scoring for the Avengers finishing with 11 points to go along with his 8 rebounds.
The Avengers will play their final home game of the regular season this coming Saturday, February 25th, as they take on Region XV foe Globe at the NYU-Poly gymnasium. Tipoff is scheduled for 5pm. The game will be the second part of a double-header with the Lady Avengers who tipoff against the Lady Knights at 3pm.
