Avengers Roll to 88-64 Win Over Nia Prep National

BROOKLYN, NY --- The ASA men's basketball team did not disappoint tonight in front of an enthusiastic crowd at St. Francis College, coasting to an 88-64 victory over Nia Prep. The win helps the Avengers improve to 5-3 overall.

ASA received a huge spark off of the bench from freshman forward Daniel Marc-Sears (Brooklyn, NY). In his college basketball debut, Marc-Sears led all scorers with 17 points on a perfect 8-8 from the field including a couple of crowd-pleasing dunks. He also gathered in six boards for the Avengers. Freshman guard Dayvon Whitaker (Poughkeepsie, NY) was also big off of the bench for ASA, adding 15 points.

Three starters scored in double-figures for ASA. Freshman guard Rysheen Dorn (Philadelphia, PA) and sophomore guard Sa'Quan Davis each dumped in 12 points. Freshman guard Daquan Brickhouse (Peekskill, NY) punched in 11 points to go along with five assists with no turnovers.

After going down 2-0 twenty seconds into the contest, the Avengers never trailed again.

ASA will take the floor again on Friday, December 9th, as they host Philly CC at St. Francis College. Tipoff is slated for 7pm.
