Coach Anderson is entering his second season as the defensive line coach at ASA College, following several seasons at Nassau Community College in the same capacity.
Anderson’s football background is extensive, including a career at Syracuse University as a scholarship student-athlete, where he was named Second Team All-Big East, and then on to an NFL playing career with the Dallas Cowboys, where he earned NFL All-Rookie Team honors following the 1997 season. He was the 101st overall pick who registered 26 tackles and two sacks in five games.
Succeeding his NFL career, Coach Anderson sought to pass his knowledge to the youth, as he helped nurture a dozen All-Conference players and two All-Americans in the Northeast Football Conference.
Prior to his tenure at NCC, Coach Anderson was on the Merchant Marine Academy staff, was a defensive assistant on the Hempstead (NY) High School football team, and a defensive line assistant coach for the NFL Europe Rhein Fire.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and a Midwood (NY) High School graduate, Coach Anderson is married to wife Ana Marie and has two children, daughter Shyla and son Greyson.
