#16 Ranked Football Selected For Valley of the Sun Bowl

One point in double overtime separated the Avengers from a perfect season. ASA finished the season 8-1.  The Avengers climbed up one spot to be ranked the #16 team in the country in football this week. According to the NEFC, since their inception in 2012, ASA has been ranked in the NJCAA poll 46 times.

On December, 2 2017, the ASA Avengers will travel to Mesa, AZ to compete in the Valley of the Sun bowl against Mesa, who were previously ranked #6 in the country earlier this season. Last year, Mesa won the Valley of the Sun Bowl in double overtime against Lackawanna college.

ASA's previous two bowl games came in 2012 and 2013. In 2012 ASA fell short to Snow College in the Carrier Dome Bowl, and in 2013 ASA defeated College of DuPage 23-3 for their first ever bowl victory.

The Valley of the Sun Bowl is one of nine bowl games this year for NJCAA teams.
