  • Former Avenger Named to Phil Steele's All-AAC First Team

    Former ASA College running back, Hosey Williams, was recently named to college football analyst, Phil Steele's Preseason All-American Athletic Conference first-team. Williams will be entering his senior season for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.
  • Former Avenger Inks with Houston Texans

    Former ASA defensive back, Theo Alexander, recently signed as an undrafted free-agent with the NFL's Houston Texans. He becomes the third former ASA College football player to be invited to an NFL team camp.
  • Avenger Running Back Signs With Arkansas-Pine Bluff

    ASA College running back, Dante McDonald, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and football career at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
  • Three Avengers More Sign on National Signing Day

    Three more ASA College football student-athletes signed with Division I NCAA schools yesterday during the mayhem of National Signing Day. The trio includes offensive linemen, Kelby Johnson and Curtis Williams, who signed with Louisville and South Alabama respectively, and running back Donovan Williams who signed with Sam Houston State.
  • Avenger QB Signs With the University of Wyoming

    2013 starting quarterback, Aaron Young, signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and college football career at the University of Wyoming. Young led the Avengers to their second Northeast Football Conference championship in two years and their first ever bowl victory in program history. Wyoming competes at the FBS level and is a member of the Mountain West Conference.

    Former ASA College defensive end, Desmond Hollin, and the #1 Florida State Seminoles (13-0) will be playing for the BCS National Championship tonight against #2 Auburn. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 PM ET and will air on ESPN.
  • Former Avenger Slated to Start in Sugar Bowl Tonight

    Former ASA College standout left tackle, Leon Brown, is expected to start tonight in the Sugar Bowl at right guard. He will be wearing #72 for the #3 Crimson Tide who will be taking on #11 Oklahoma in New Orleans.

    The NJCAA released this year's 2013 Football All-Americans and four Avengers received the honor. Headlining the four recipients is sophomore defensive back Alexander Ajanaku-Wells who was named to the defensive First Team. This marks back-to-back seasons that an Avenger has been named a First Team All-American.

    The #10 ASA College football team made history this evening by winning their first ever post-season bowl game by defeating the #20 College of DuPage 23-3 in the 2nd Annual Carrier Bowl Dome. The Avengers finish the 2013 season with a 9-1 overall record.

  • 14 Avengers Named All-Conference; Eight First-Teamers

    The back-to-back Northeast Football Conference Champion ASA College football team had 14 student-athletes named All-Conference this afternoon including eight Avengers to the First Team. For the second season in a row #10 nationally ranked ASA finished with an undefeated 5-0 NEFC record and defeated conference teams by an average of 33.4 points. Most recently, the Avengers defeated Nassau 37-7 earning themselves a spot in the Carrier Dome Bowl (Syracuse University) on November 22nd where they will play #20 DuPage.
  • Football Moves Up to #10 Nationally

    The ASA College football team moved up to #10 in the most recent NJCAA National Poll. The ranking comes two days after ASA repeated as Northeast Football Conference Champions by defeating Nassau CC 37-7. The Avengers will play in the 2nd Annual Carrier Dome Bowl sponsored by the NEFC.

    The #16 ASA College football team repeated as Northeast Football Conference champions this afternoon after defeating #15 Nassau 37-7 on their home turf. The Avengers end the regular season with an 8-1 overall record including a perfect 5-0 in conference play. As NEFC champs, the Avengers will once again play in the NEFC sponsored Carrier Dome Bowl held at Syracuse University. The game will be played on November 22nd. An opponent will be announced in the next few days.

    ASA College wide receiver Olu Izegwire and sophomore defensive lineman Cory Johnson were named the offensive and defensive Northeast Football Conference offensive and defensive Players of the Week respectively this afternoon. It is the second time in two weeks that the duo earned the honor in the same week.

    The ASA College football team scored 30 unanswered points in the first half against NEFC member Louisburg College to cruise to a 43-5 victory. The Avengers improve to 7-1 with the win and 4-0 in Northeast Football Conference play. ASA will play at rival Nassau for the NEFC championship next Saturday at Mitchel Field. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.

    The ASA College football team won their fifth game this afternoon in a landslide over Atlanta Sports Academy, 48-0. The victory is ASA’s second shutout in a row. ASA improves to 5-1 overall with the nonconference win.

    ASA College quarterback, Aaron Young, was named an Offensive Player of the Week by the Northeast Football Conference released last night. Hue earned the honor for his efforts on Saturday at Dean in a 55-17 blowout.

    The ASA College football team used a four-touchdown second half for a 40-16 victory at Army JV this afternoon. The non-conference wins helps the Avengers improve to 2-1 overall. ASA will be back to NEFC play next weekend as they travel to Franklin, MA to take on Dean. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.

    The ASA College football team scored four touchdowns in the second half against Monroe this evening to cruise to a 41-7 win this evening at SUNY Purchase. The win marks ASA's first win of the season and gives them a 1-0 record in he Northeast Football Conference. Overall, the Avengers improve to 1-1.
