Zedrick Gardner on Signing Day with Coach Orlando

Brooklyn, NY-----This morning sophomore ASA College defensive back Zedrick Gardner signed a National Letter of Intent to continue with academic and football career at Stony Brook University.  Garner was joined by three other Avengers who all signed with NCAA Division I universities on the mid-year signing day.

The Miami, FL native anchored a secondary that was part of an ASA defense that ranked second in the nation in points allowed this past season.  Gardner had a great nose for the ball this season finishing with four interceptions to go along with 33 tackles, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and three break-ups.  For his efforts Gardner was named to the All-NEFC Defensive Second Team.

Gardner will be joining a Stony Brook squad that made a lot of noise amongst FCS schools, advancing to the second round of the playoffs.  He will be joined at the Long Island university by fellow Avenger James Kenner.  Former Avenger Malcolm Eugene will also be a part of the Seawolves squad next season.
