Williams and Aloema Grab POTW Honors

Brooklyn, NY----Sophomore running back, Hosey Williams, and sophomore kicker, Cherchen Aloema, were named the Northeast Football Conference Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week respectively.  

Williams wins the honor for the third time this season. Williams had 35 carries for 171 yards and a touchdown as the Avengers recorded a 30-29 win over Nassau to win the conference title. Williams also had two receptions. He surpassed the 1,000-yard mark for the season and is the Avengers' all-time leading rusher.  

Aloema made the game-winning 36-yard field goal with six seconds remaining to lift ASA to the win over Nassau. Aloema also made three extrapointkicks and recorded three punts for a 36-yard average.

Overall, ASA has earned five NEFC POTW awards - Williams has garned three, while Aloema and sophomore linebacker Kadeem Willis have earned one apiece.
