Baseball Rolls Past BMCC, 15-1

Queens, NY----The ASA College baseball team scored 11 runs in the first inning this afternoon against the Borough of Manhattan Community College and never looked back for the 15-1 win. 

ASA made the most of their seven hits by driving in nine runs.  The Avengers would also benefit from being walked twelve times in five innings.  

The Avengers were led offensively by Kevin Victoriano who had a game-high two hits on three at-bats.  Eduardo Familia hit the only extra-bases shot for the Avengers with a doubles and recorded a team-high three RBIs on the afternoon.  

Starting pitcher Ivan Lopez would earn the win allowing only one run and two hits in three innings of work.  Huascar Polanco would close the game allowing a hit in two innings on the mound.  

ASA will be back on the field tomorrow, March 28th, at Sussex CC.  The first pitch is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
